Tattoos And A Wedding
It is every women’s dream to have that gorgeous dream wedding where she can be treated like a princess for a day. Well one couple in Waterbury Connecticut certainly had a different idea of that dream wedding. The couple decided to get married on one of the most unholy days of the years, Halloween. The couple tied the knot at a local tattoo studio on Halloween and to seal the deal the bride and the groom both got tattooed. Fortunately, they did not get each others names tattooed on each other, which is a good thing. But then again the bride got “werewolf” tattooed on her knuckles and her groom got “wormfood” tattooed on his knuckles. Even though these words seem out of the ordinary they both have special meaning to each of them. However, if would probably be more romantic if they got each others names tattooed on them but that is besides the point.
This just goes to prove a point that when two people are in love and share a special bond with each other, they don’t need the traditional diamond engagement ring and wedding bands to seal their lifetime bond. This couple is obviously the nontraditional couple that has a deep love for each other as well as a great love of tattoos.
So take this as a lesson learned to all your nontraditional people out there that also have a love for tattoos. If you would rather use tattoos to seal your matrimonial bond than by all means head to your local tattoo studio and get inked up. There is a huge plus side to this nontraditional approach, you won’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a engagement ring or wedding band.

Mark Wahlberg And Ludacris Talk Tattoos
One of the coolest things about tattoos is, that every-body’s tattoo has a different meaning and means something different to them. So it is always fascinating to find out why people got the tattoo they did and if there is any significant meaning behind them.
Mark Wahlberg and Ludacris also known as Chris Bridges, both star in the movie “Max Payne”. Which surprisingly enough tattoos kind of play an important role in this movie. It seems that a mysterious tattoo reappears on murdered victims in the movie. So this got reporters wondering if Mark and Ludacris had any tattoos and if so what the meanings of their tattoos were.
Mark said:
“Yeah, I’ve got a couple tattoos. I have rosary beads around my neck; it says “In God I Trust.” When I was in jail [at age 16, for assault], I got a pair of rosary beads, and I wore them all the time. They were just plastic, so they just broke. So I just had the tattoo put around my neck.
And I got a Sylvester the cat tattoo covering up an old gang tattoo on my leg. I got [the gang tattoo] when I was 12. When I was 17, I got it covered up [with Sylvester] because that was the only thing that would hide the other tattoo.”
Ludacris said:
“I have some praying hands on one of my arms. You wake up, and you go to sleep, and you thank God for everything you have. That’s pretty much the meaning behind that. I have Jesus on a cross on my other arm. That last one is a “Disturbing tha Peace” symbol, which is my record label that I started and dedicated my life to.”

The Meaning Behind Butterfly Tattoos
If you are considering getting a tattoo but have no idea on what to get than maybe you should consider the butterfly. After all the butterfly is one of the most popular tattoos a woman gets. Simply because they are beautiful and there is some kind of mystic about them. If you are concerned that your tattoo maybe just like someone else’s don’t fret. There are endless butterfly designs out there and chances are out of all the butterfly tattoos that have been inked onto woman there probably isn’t one that has been duplicated, unless it was done on purpose.
The butterfly stands for so many things. But the number one reason woman tend to get a butterfly tattoo is the butterfly symbolizes a change or transformation. So this beautiful little creature could fit in almost anywhere in your life where you have experienced some sort of change. Also butterflies have been known to stand for love or joy. A butterfly tattoo is also a very safe tattoo, in the sense that you will more than likely never regret this tattoo because it’s special meaning will be with your forever. The only way this tattoo could turn into a regret is if you got a humongous butterfly tattoo covering your whole back, then that could most definlety lead to some regret later in life.
If you are having trouble deciding on a tattoo design, always keep the butterfly in mind. Just be sure to remember the smaller the better when it comes to getting a tattoo and the smaller the tattoo the less expensive it will be.

Cheap Tattoo Deals..Too Good To Be True
When it comes to getting a tattoo we all know that it can be pretty pricey. With the economy getting worse everyday people have simply started to think twice about spending that money on something like a tattoo. Well it seems that a few tattoo studios came up with what they thought was a clever idea. These tattoo studios offered to give $30 Halloween tattoos all through the month of October. While this might be somewhat of a good idea, it can also be a bad idea.
For instance, picking out a tattoo design is very important and it’s not a decision you should take lightly. However, if you are like me and love Halloween, than getting some sort of Halloween tattoo may not be such a bad idea. But if this would be your first tattoo I recommend holding out. Chances are if you got a pumpkin, black cat, skeleton, witch or some other Halloween character tattooed on your body as your first tattoo you will more than likely be regretting it before it even heals. But on the other hand if you are covered in tattoos and have a lot of them and you are trying to feed your addiction of getting tattoos than by all means go for it.
The moral of this story is…if it sounds too good to be true than chances are it is. However, if these tattoo studios were to offer any old tattoo for $30 I would say what are you waiting for..head down there now. Just remember this tattoo will be with you forever so think long and hard before you decide to get inked.

Celebrity Tattoos: Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie has several tattoos of her own nine to be exact. Back in 2005 Nicole held the number two spot on a list of the Top 25 Tattooed Celebrities, as you can guess the heavily tattooed but lovely none the less Angelina Jolie came in at number one.
Nicole has lived a very troubled life but she has seemed to have gotten things pulled together since the birth of her daughter Harlow. Nicole is no stranger to the tattoo gun and loves to show off her nine tattoos to the world.
Here’s a list of Nicole’s Tattoos:
1. Rosary on Her Ankle and Foot
2. Angel Wings on Her Shoulder Blades
3. “Richie” and a Ribbon on the Back of Her Neck
4. Tiara on Her Hip, Not a Spider like some thought
5. Red Shooting Star on the Insider of Her Right Wrist
6. “Virgin” on Her Left Wrist
7. Ballerina Slippers on Her Stomach
8. Cross on Her Lower Back
9. Spray of Dots on an Unknown Finger
However, it seems that Nicole isn’t too keen on the idea of Harlow and any other future children wanting to go out and get inked when they became of age. Nicole told Access Hollywood when she was eight months pregnant with baby Harlow she hoped Harlow wouldn’t want to get tattoos.
“I actually have a theory. I think that whether we have a boy or a girl, they’re going to be so embarrassed of Joel’s tattoos and my tattoos, because I have nine, because you never want to be like your parents. Does that make sense? [Joel] has sleeves. I really think that they’re going to be embarrassed because he’s their dad, so I have a feeling that they just won’t get them. At least that’s what I hope.”

Encourage Others To Get Tattoos
Getting a tattoo can be a great experience if you do it properly, but not thinking things through and just getting ink for the heck of it is not the best idea. If you truly want a tattoo you need to do your research like you would with anything and tattoos are no different. I for one being a tattooed person love to encourage non-tattooed people to go out and get inked, if it is something that they truly want to do. I also find great pleasure in being able to educate them on tattooing and things you should be concerned about.
First and foremost DO NOT get inked if you have been drinking. The rule of thumb is not to have any alcohol or drugs in your system when getting tattooed. The reason being it can alter the tattoos appearance and drinking thins your blood which means you will bleed more. Secondly, the sun is not your friend when it comes to getting fresh ink. You must stay out of the sun until your tattoo has fully healed, which usually is about two weeks. Also be 150% sure you want the tattoo design you have picked out. Another huge tip that people tend not to follow is go small. Trust me you don’t want to end up like me and 8 years later after getting a tattoo feel it is way too big.
If you have always wanted to get a tattoo for whatever reason. I say what better time than now! Muster up some courage and go to your local tattoo studio and get that ink you have always wanted. But please take the few suggestions above to heart. You honestly have to live with this tattoo decision for the rest of your life.

Tattoo Redo
Deciding to get a tattoo is a huge decision that should never be taken lightly. However, a lot of people just go out and get a tattoo for the sake of getting one, which is never a good idea. This is probably why the percentage of young people regretting at least one of their tattoos is so high.
Despite all of that, is it possible that you may not regret one of your tattoos, but if you were given the chance to turn the clock back would you have gotten the same tattoo? I bring this up because one of my tattoos I feel that I have outgrown, also I have always felt that it is a little too big. So if I was given a tattoo redo I would probably of not gotten the tattoo I got and I would make sure that it would be a little smaller than what it is.
So this just leads me to pound this into everyone’s head. You need to be 120% sure that you are going to be okay with the tattoo design you have picked out for the rest of your life. The tattoo that I’m not so much in love with anymore I have had for 8 years. I would absolutely love to get it removed but do not want to spend the money to go to multiple laser removal sessions and I do not want to endure the pain that comes along with it. Plus laser removal causes scars and doesn’t 100% get rid of the tattoo.

More People Forced To Cover Up Tattoos
It seems that more and more people are being forced to cover up their body art. I honestly can’t believe it has gone this far. It seems with the growing popularity of tattoos and society some what “excepting” them, oddly enough more and more jobs are requiring their employees to cover up their body art. Which if you ask me is completely unfair. I feel that making someone cover up their tattoo is discrimination against people who have ink. I mean we are taught not to judge someone by the color of their skin, so why doesn’t this apply to someone who has a little ink on their skin? Sadly, I guess these “officials” do not feel the same way about this. They are more concerned about what people may think.
USA Today is reporting that cities and school districts around the country are forcing their employees to cover up their tattoos and if they don’t it could cost them their job. The powers that be say that this new ridiculous rule has been issued to help maintain a good image. This new rule is effecting teachers, janitors and firefighters.
Capt. Armando Hogan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Fire Department, explained the reason behind all the firefighters having to follow this rule. “We didn’t want to offend some people in the community.” If you ask me its all a bunch of bull. What about the men and women who risk their life to save someone from a fire or accident, have you they even thought about how this rule would offend them? Just goes to show that these officials are only looking at these issues from one side.

Tattoos And Pregnancy Part 2
Alright I know I covered this yesterday but since I am on the topic of tattoos and pregnancy I thought this would be as good of time as any to talk more about tattoos on the stomach. I mean we all know what happens to your stomach when you get pregnant. It stretches and gets really big, so naturally your tattoo is going to stretch and get bigger as well. The one question I want to know is….will your tattoo go back down to regular size after you have had the baby and lost all the baby weight?
I have researched his topic and have found that it really depends on the person. It seems that different women have different results when it comes to their stomach tattoos. For instance, some say that after they have lost their baby weight the tattoo goes back to normal. While others say their tattoo faded a bit and stretched out a little. So I guess it really depends on how much weight you gain and how much your stomach stretches. But to be on the safe side when you are younger just try to refrain from getting a tattoo on your stomach or in any area that maybe affected if you become pregnant. However, if you find youself having a brain fart when getting a tattoo and get one on your stomach anyways, I have heard that some mothers keep their stomaches very moisturized and that seems to help with the stretching of the tattoo.

Tattoos and Pregnancy
Alright the reason I bring this up is because my husband and I are toying around with the idea of trying to have a baby in a year or so. So that got me thinking, are there any risks or anything else I should know about regarding tattoos and pregnancy.
First and foremost I have found out that if for some ridiculous reason you want to get a new tattoo while you are pregnant you will more than likely have a hard time finding a tattoo artist that will actually do it. There isn’t really any rules or laws pertaining to pregnant women getting a tattoo but most artist feel it isn’t worth the risk and that you should wait until after the baby is born to get your tattoo.
Also another interesting thing I found out is that there is some kind of myth going around that if you have a back tattoo that you can not get an epidural. There have only been a few studies conducted on this matter and of those studies nothing conclusively found any data that shows that there are risks, so most anesthesiologists have no problem giving an epidural to a woman with a back tattoo. But just in case you are worried about this you should contact your local hospital or doctor and see what they say. I know someone you has a tattoo on her lower back and she had an epidural without any problems so I don’t really see what the fuss is about.
