Barack Obama For Tattoos

It’s a safe bet that former presidents and other white house officials probably want to stay as far away from tattoos as possible because of the negative press they get. It seems that our new president Barack Obama may not have such a big problem with tattoos after all. Of course it is not known yet if the newly elected president has some ink of his own, (which would be awesome it he did). Reports are coming out on what the newly elected president spent on his campaign late in the game in hopes to win over voters. The figures are rather high, a whopping $147 million dollars to be exact, but some of his advertising efforts were a little surprising. Of course there were the old TV ads, internet ad, Google ads, and print ads but the most unique and maybe different form of advertising he did was send out 400,000 temporary Obama tattoos. These tattoos arrived at 66 different Obama offices around the United States.

Not only was the new president creative with his advertising efforts but it gives a glimmer of hope to the tattoo community that maybe Barack will not be against tattoos. Also tattoo advertising is a lot more common than you would think and the effectiveness of this unique form of advertising is surprisingly effective. So the next time you are trying to get a point across or want to advertise something why not get a temporary tattoo made up and put it somewhere noticeable on your body.

Obama doesn’t seem to be “against” tattoos but he has stated that he would not get one himself.
